Too many to mention...Most noticably a fully cooked on the premises Indian meal, a big white 7.5ton lorry turned up with an entire kitchen in the back - this was way back when I made a mint from doing Asian weddings, unfortunately, there isn't a market down here in Brighton for Asian weddings mad.gif because the food was damn fine.

The other good one was cumberland sausage and chips....ahhh...mmmmm.....oh yes.... 014.gif - no i'm not sad - that's the closest smilie I could find to my mouth watering....

Again, this is the reason why my belly is so damn big

Probably the best is once when i was a guest at a neigbours wedding around a year ago now!! Lots of money went into it, it was in an expensive hotel in weybridge surrey, The food was 3 course starting with a mozerella salad with olive oil and the like, then it was chicken in white wine sauce with new potatoes and season veg, then it was a selection of deserts inc a special fruit salad which was the nuts!! Didnt think u could have so much variety or look in a fruit salad tongue.gif

Anyway the best and was a wicked day, until i saw the DJ and thought well if he can do it i sure can, hes gear wasnt that good and the songs were pretty cack, no variety!! Plus the groome paid well over the odds for him @ a cost of £300 for 6 hours!! wish i done it but i never had ther gear then sad.gif !!!

Cheers

I agree with Ian on this one........... Asian weddings a full Indian meal fresh cooked on the premises, as much as you want until u are bursting (and they can't half put some away at these celebrations) to then be caught by the Brides mother on our way out while she is clearing the kitchen and be given 2 cases of lager for me and 2 for the roadie "cos u good boys have gotta drive so drink them at home on us" MAGIC!!

Asian Weddings really are cool gigs if you can get them, especially if you don't mind listening to hardcore bhangra.

The food is always fresh, and tons of it plus you have a bloody great time, that is if you don't mind the idiot who bangs the drum throughout the whole afternoon right in front of your face hehehe.

We always got 'gifts' after doing gigs like this but it doesn't half feel strange to have 200 asians looking at the 'white boy' with the disco equipment, play a couple of Bally Sagoo tracks and they love you smile.gif

Must share

Heard an Asian at the bar ask in broad accent " Yes please me, a Southern Comfortable Please". :)

Yep, Asian *gigs are quite good and not really different to any others really. Great food.

*Have actually been treated with respect as a person and not as an idiot. I think the overall feeling was appreciation on clients part and generous tip!

Ha! you're getting as bad as me with Avatars!

Thinking about it probably Best food I have is that greasy kebab on the way home!! (Nearly every weekend) Time to relax, some tunes on the car stereo, and a laugh about what we got up to during the evening!

Magic!
