My Eurolite Goboflower II has stopped producing light...(which is a farily prominent shortfall, considering its a lighting effect)... I've tried it with a few spare bulbs and still no light, although the motors whirr away happily and the sound to light circuitry works.
So I suspect that its the transformer for the bulb.
Anyone know where I can send it to get replaced, or a place that I can get a compatible transformer from. I've tried a certain mail-order electronics place beginning with M (which I shall not name, as they sell a tiny range of DJ equipment, albeit at none too special prices)

Sounds to me like the transformer is buggered (Nothern Engineering term for "Broken!").
BUt before you condemn it, or throw it in my direction consider:-
(1) Checking that there isn't more than 1 fuse - some effects have two fuses - one for motor and one for Transformer (light)
(2) Check all wiring around the TX, especially where it connects into a fuseholder, or transfomer tag. Transformers usually use solid core wire which weakens near to joints / terminals and breaks - rare but it does happen
(3) Consider the possibility that it may be the lampholder, Wiggle the lamp to make sure that the contacts hold it securely, if its very loose then it may just be the lampholder that needs replacement.
Other than looking at it, thats all the D-I-Y suggestions I can offer!
