On the DMX subject, what is the cheapest way of remotely turning off 2x DMX colour blasters? Currently I have 2 linked together running there own sound activated program , but have to turn the power off to switch them off. This serious affects lamp life as the cooling fans stop!

the chauvet DMX-6/Junior would be good for that and it will allow you to expand later.

The unit has 54 (i think) dmx channels allowing upto 9 fixtures of 6 channels each or as many fixtures as u can pack into 54 channels.

i presume your colour changer would be 1 channel or maybe 2 if it dims too. it would allow you to program your own colour changing routines and so on and it also has a blackout button so you just hit that and the lights set to 000 on every channel so the unit stays on but doesnt actually give out light, hence "blackout".

you can get these off ebay (I think i can say that cause its not another dealer really...) for £89.99 new but maybe chris can do better? . There good controllers... i used to have one but just sold it.
