Hi all,

OK, I am very comfortable with R&B, Hip-Hop, House, Party, etc..etc.... BUT I haven't a clue what to play when it comes to UK Garage. I have a club booking for Saturday which needs a bit of everything including UK Garage.

Ideas for big tunes that work for you please.....

Thanx in advance

Brian

There are many UK Garage / compilations to go for (the 'anthems') but to a certain degree, some are more popular than others!!!!! So going out and buying a bundle may be a little unfair for just one gig.

That said, the 'classic anthem' artistes that are 'appreciated' can range from:

Somore
Rosie Gains
Misteeq
Doolally
KC & Jo Jo
Robin S
DJ Luck & MC Neat
Craig David
etc...

RnB garage versions of recent tracks from Sean Paul, Blu Cantrel, Beyonce, J Timberlake, 50 Cent, etc may go down very well, but I reckon you'll get away with an 'Old Skool garage theme' with current choons thrown in.

As for what's 'current' from the likes of UK Two Step, compilations and mixed discs, why not visit your local record supplier and get some advice.

Just because I don't like something doesn't make it crap, just not my taste, but luckily we are all different. I prefer Barclay James Harvest or Neil Diamond or Queen, maybe not your taste but not crap.

I love my uk garage and play about a hour on wednesday night rnb night here are my winners these go down well at school proms but be careful at a main stream gig.

Kci & Jojo - Tell me its real (garage remix)
Jaheim - Just in case (garage mix)
Mis-teeq - All i want
Mr Rumble - Whoops there it is
Ramsey & Fen - Lovebug
shola ama - imagine (garage remix)
Sisqo - Thong song (artful dodger remix)
Wideboys - Sambucca
Monster boy Feat Denzie - I'm sorry (David howard mix)
Soft Cell - Tainted Love (Garage Remix)

There are so many more but any of the above should go down well and don't forget uk garage is a 4 - 2 beat rather than speed garage (such as Rosie Gains - closer than close) is a standard 4 - 4 beat.

If ya need any more help drop me a pm biggrin.gif
