I saw an advert for an album containing the above.
I can't remember the exact title, but may have Northern Soul in the title.
Anyone know what it's called, as I'd like to get holf of a copy, but it's difficult when you don't know the title!
Cheers

Aah, Wigan's Ovation. Great tune. I always introduce it as "some soul from 12 miles north of here"

Wasn't the biggest Northern Soul club in Europe in Wigan, playing the three P's after midnight ?

The wigan Casino was also voted the number one club of alltime by billboard magazine.
if you are into northern why not come to The Downham Arms on August Bank Holiday sunday, where I will be playing real rarities.
Or even the caister soul weekend in October, where both Eskie & I are DJ'ing.
Just to let you know there's a new term on the block, it Modern Soul, which strangly enough is not new stuff, but old soul for the 70's & 80's that is not considered northern
