Nobody famous for me. Just a Local D.J by the name of Steve Walsh who gave me a chance when said I wanted to be a D.J, he offered me advice and I learned the business from him!. He also gave me my first real booking when I starting out on my own.
My Hero!.
Well to be fair I also lugged his Bloody record boxes up flights of stairs every Saturday! for 18 months

my influences, another dj called steve walsh !! the famous radio london dj who recorded a version of i found lovin', also tony blackburn, capital radio soul djs like greg edwards and al matthews. plus a local dj at a nightclub in colchester called mr toast ~ he would do some nifty mixes and then say to the crowd " try doing that one at home " !!! also i first went on holiday to spain when i was 17 ( lloret de mar ), seeing the djs out there, some were really good , really knew how to rock a party !! , the following year i went to hollywood in romford to watch the dmc mixing competions ~ that was when i knew i had to get a pair of technics!!

I would have to say that either Joe Hahn (Linkin Park)

or DJ leathal (LimpBizkit) are my influences towards the style of music i play.

when i was younger, although i was sh*t hot at mixing and playing the right tunes , i was a bit shy on the mic, i was working at a holiday park for a season, the manager realising this said that i had to call the bingo numbers !! that cured my mic shyness and i am gratefull to that man !!!

The night went well and from there after I went along to every disco until he finally left be by myself, yipeee!!!!
But when I came home with a Karaoke, He hung up his headphones for ever

The two people that "helped" me, whether they know it or not, Phil Jay (ex, Radio city) who was working on Radio One at the time and a gent called Norman Riley, Radio 3 classical pianist and electronics wizz.

Your'e right there Jeff. Calling out Bingo gives you a good idea of mic technique. Its surprising how many people find it difficult to use a mic when they have to say the "thank you " bit at parties

But for mr in my early years I went to clubs & events and just watched the DJ. For me 2 of the best were Chris Hill, the legendary Goldmine, Lacy Lady & Caister DJ, and Ian Reading from The Zero 6, both new how to control a room
