The Dac 2 controller is fine - just like using a deck start/stop cue button.

Great for mixing modern music and loop effects. (better via the controller than the keyboard).

But it's only as good as the cue points set in the mp3 files!!!

I still feel it should be around £99.

Yeah the only thing stopping me from buying one is the current price tag wacko.gif

I use a program called "kra mixer".
And when i'm leaving music running for a buffet or at the begininning of a night I use Windows Media Player. The latest version of Media Player has got an option that allows the music to crossfade the music automatically.
Anyone got any more ideas of what programs they would suggest ??

I have used OTS for 3 years and cannot find an easier more reliable program. To save me registering a second copy I use OTS Turntables Pro on my backup laptop which is very cheap and gives a perfect sound.

I tried that once. I liked the sample button feature on the version I used, but it didn't like my PC.
What's the version up to now, and what are the features you like about it?
DJPLEASURE
VTT (Virtual Turntables) Still using this, although I have BPM Studio, PC DJ etc, but too stuck in my ways to try to learn the new layouts etc.

With VTT, it accepts a lot of winamp pluggins which is handy, especially the limiter, saves all the hassle when one song is louder, or has more bass etc.

The beat matching is cool, although bpm is not automated, good old reliable tapping :-)
You can add effects, as well as assign keys to voiceovers, sound effects etc. Also it remembers all your cue points, which is well handy.

If you are into serious beat match mixing, then I think VTT is by far the easiest and best

I struggled when I stopped using vinyl. (Couldn't touch the CD's)

I struggled when I stopped using CD's (Couldn't see the Mp3's)

But now........?

Tried downloads of just about every DJing software and my conclusion (for mobile weddings etc - not for re-mixing/looping sampling, the type of stuff I do in private!) is that for me personally PCDJ is the best and most use.

I also have FXVRM and RedVRM of which I've been using in the last couple of months and now seems fairly stable.

By the way, when do I get to post something without being moderated first?! 014.gif

I use PCDJ Pro and a Numark DMC-1 controller - really simple to use. I once saw someone using BPM Studio and it looked impressive, but its expensive and so is the external controller. They also didn't have a controller and were mixing using a touchmad mouse on a laptop.

I get the impression some people are using the PC keyboard and mouse to control the software (Ots, Mixvibes etc) seems like awfully hard work? wacko.gif

PCDJFX & dac-2 for me. I had few problems when first bouight but since last upgrade all is ok, I've also added a powered usb hub to help things along as advised by a pcdj moderator.

I could have got away with red as a lot of the fx features I do not use but bought the 2 as a package from the US.

The UK dealer couldn't get hold of it at the time.
