Hi folks

Due to the bank holiday weekend, I got my prodisk 47 a couple of days late.

However, I think Mastermix got hold of a few of a tracks a few weeks late.

Most of the tracks I'd have used in one form or another have been and gone from the charts, examples, maroon 5, keane, Annastacia, Rasmas etc.

Feeling a bit ripped off.

I guess its a percentage thing.

Eg: How many tracks on the disc? how many are already out? how much it would cost to buy those "already out" tracks as CD singles etc, and overall, of course, the cost of the CD itself.

I looked for Pro Disc 47 on a website, as I havent sunbscribed to it. And I thought well I wont bother! I have got 90% of all the tracks on there on single and they have been out for weeks. Not much point really! I only buy them when I think CD is good.
maybe next months one wont be so disappointing. Last months one was good.

Thanks,

I usually defend the Mastermix stuff but I have to agree this time. Some people wait for and rely on Prodisc to keep them up to date, but this month`s offering was more than a tad tardy.
I suppose it`s not too easy picking 20 tracks out of the (probable) dozens of new releases every month. Maybe they should make it a double CD and charge a bit more??
What d`ya think??

I agree with "OK KARAOKE" with the amount of new releases they should make it a fortnightly disc, due to the internet and music channels it's difficult trying to stay ahead.

To be honest, at the average Wedding, 21st, 40th etc I rarely get asked for anything in the charts, except for the very Cheesy Tracks or examples like Cha Cha Slide when it was first released. Maybe because the majority of music in the Top 10 is not what you would term Adult aged, Middle of the Road Music? 533.gif . I really can't imagine paying F..It or F U right back at a Wedding for a pair of 50 year olds, or any Wedding come to that!.

It's a different story if you work the pubs, or a club set or do a lot of Kids / Teens Disco's, but I find I am buying ££'s worth of new stuff which doesn't end up getting played before it vanishes out of the charts forever sad.gif

Anyone know what the next Pro Disc will have on it ??

I don't buy very many CD singles anymore, like Chris I try and stick with weddings and birthday parties for 30 years plus so do not really need it, if I do have to do a 18th/21st I just go out and buy the CD's or Now 99 or whatever it's on now

I agree with you on this CP.
Most of the current music is not what you would play at weddings and 50/60's birthday parties.
At the risk of repeating myself the chart 40 of recent weeks, even months has been pretty dire in my opinion with far too many rap and so called r'n'b tracks aimed mainly at youngsters.

Looking at Radio 1's Playlist the current trend is not looking like things are going to get much better either scared.gif .

I've just received two playlists back for two Weddings, one in July and one in August. The first list is relatively short, however the 2nd runs to 4x A4 Pages wacko.gif . My point is, that other than the Cha Cha Slide, and Dirrty, every track on both these playlists is pre 1999!. Mainly 70's and 80's.
