After the roaring sucess of the wedding i did last night. where i used a projector and one fantastic little Karaoke machine (thanks Chris i want one of these they make life alot easier compared to my old machine) I have decided that i want to use my projector more often. We have used a peice of software before when we larger band events. But i usually get some of the local college students to run the graphics.
but i want to keep it 'in house' and get my roadie working on it.
Does anyone know what a good software would be to use?? i cant for the life of me remember what we have used before.
i want it to send mesages to the crowd and would like it to possible be sound to light??
Cheers

random question but NO i was In Benefield East Northants on Saturday
I've used a piece of software for vjing called Arkaos. It's not too bad. Not sure if it does sound to light though. Is pretty resource intensive, but we had good results from it. Used it for about 8 hours solid and it crashed twice in that time (with video files ranging from 200 meg up to about 1.8 gigs).
Did some mad effects with footage from the matrix films using it

The onboard winamp visual affects are good, but you need to be up on the graphics to get it working properly.
