Well, theres a few on there that I havent got, as they werent really "dancey" or "smootchy" and not worth buying as singles.

So, combining the advantages of being able to do away with maybe a dozen or so existing CD singles in my case, and get around 10 "handy to have (maybe)" tracks...for the cost of 4 cd singles its fairly good value.

Dont you find that they release albums like that just after you've brought all the singles ? Theres a few on there I havent got.

...it could be a clever marketing ploy!

Answer?

Don't buy singles...unless absolutely necessary.

I used to go out and get a few likely singles if I had a gig on that week, what a bloody waste of time, still get requests for Abba, Dexy's Foundations, and sod all for the stuff I've just bought.

I get the Prodisks and that seems to cover the popular stuff, then collect the totp, hits, and now compilations and that covers the rest with a few duplications for good measure.

Now if I'm really desperate for a track, I'll borrow it for the night from...erm...whoever I think's got it smile.gif

I only discovered the ProDiscs a couple of months ago. But after seeing this months one I'm glad I brought the singles as most of the tracks on 47 have been out a while this month.

Agree!

I used to buy a lot of them on first week release but now I can't think of the last one I bought. I get pop beats xtra for the chart stuff and NOW and HITS compilations to cover anything likely that Ive missed.

Between those 3 I seem to cover everything 'charty' that I tend to need
