Hi folks

Just a few lines to let you know how we got on last night at our footballer's Wives gig.

We felt somewhat out of place as everyone bar none were done up in tailor-made outfits, dripping with jewelery and god knows how much they were al worth...how the other half live eh?

However...

Once we got started, had everyone dancing all night, tons of 70's and 80's stuff, they wouldn't let us come up to date other than a few tracks...

Some of the songs I remember playing were:

R Dean Taylor, There's a ghost in my house
Whispers, It's a love thing
Heavy D and The Boyz, now that we found love
Kim Sims, To blind to see
Blue pearl, naked in the rain
Duran Duran, Planet Earth/Girls on film
Elvis Costello, Oliver's Army
Ian Durey, Hit me with your rythm stick
Steven Tin Tin Duffy, Kiss me

Plus the old classic like, Don't you want me, La Bamba, etc etc etc.

All in all, we could've caried on for another 3 or 4 hours.

Now back to the real world and Daventry Ex-Servicemen's club in a couple of weeks, lol

Yes, well done. Always good to hear a positive outcome from a gig. 70's and 80's stuff seems to be getting even more popular at the moment! - maybe something to do with the twaddle that is in the charts at the moment!.
