As I have read many times in different threads, and as sound advice to newbies, it's always good to see how the professionals do it. Also at times when you can't cover a function it is nice to be able to recommend a sub.
So to the point.- I don't acually know many other Dj's and as a oldie come newbie am still establishing myself. So I would love the opportunity to meet other DJ's that work in Kent and if I'm not working would also like to offer my services as a free roadie, as it always helps to refer business to someone you've seen. smile.gif
I don't know if this is practicle or if anyone is interested in getting together but it could help to form stratigic alliances.
I'm based just south of Maidstone and am looking to build my business probably from Ashford to Tonbridge and up to Medway but concentrating on the Maidstone area.
Would also love the chance to see the queen of the kids parties in action (if the pacemaker will take it) 071.gif

Hi Vinnie... Dont know who the queen of kids parties is.... but if you wanna come out with me to see how I do them, you are more than welcome. What I can tell you is that if you get them right, they are a very lucrative part of the business.... not only do they only last for two hours, but you are still free to do adult functions in the evening as well!

Dont know how you are fixed for transport, but I would strongly recommend that you come along to a junior school disco (one of which is coming up on friday 6th Feb). You will get a good idea of how the different age groups are worked differently!.... I do key stage 1 then key stage 2 kids. If you are interested in coming along - let me know... I know its a long way (this particular school is in whitton, middx) but it might be very well worth your while to come and see first hand. Advice can be given but there is no better way of learning than seeing how its done first hand.
