Just a quickie about smoke machines.
I am slightly confused about what these are referred to, is a fogger the same as a smoke machine? Is a haze machine something different or the same?
The reason i ask is that as per my previous posting about my smoke machine it isn't that effective. Someone suggested getting denser smoke liquid. Anyway my huband was looking at what was written on my big 5l carton of liquid and it says electrovision effect fluids haze - "electrovision fog liquid is designed for use in water based machines." The guy sold me this when i bought the soundlab smoke machine. Can someone please confirm it is the correct liquid?
Cheers guys

Hi kathy,
Yes a fogger is the same as a smoke machine.
A hazer is the same sort of idea but it has a fan to disperse the smoke more so that it is thinner, they are generally on for long periods of time to create a thin mist of smoke Ideal for intelligent lighting.
Yes that smoke fluid is fine for that machine. Smoke fluid is fairly standard,
Hope this helps

A fogger and a smoke machine are primalily the same, in that they will set off smoke alarms, whereas a haze machine uses a diferent mixture and does not produce smoke, and the heat that goes with the smoke, but a light haze, which cannot really be seen until you turn your effects on, the main problem with haze is the price of a) the machine itself, approx £200 and the fluid, I pay about £20 PER LITRE for my stuff, although hopefully CP will tell me I can get it cheaper.

Kathy if you read the previous thread on smoke machines you will see I have great problems with Soundlab fluid as the smoke is really thin, as soon as I changed back to the club fluid no problems and nice thick smoke!!!
Just a suggestion but you could try buying 1litre of different make and just try it before splashing out on 5 litres.
