Professional Mobile Disco & Wedding Disco

Friday night ladies night was ok, only 31 lonely women. It was nothing special but ok.

Saturday i had mouseAT doing a forces open day. we got setup a 5.15 and took over from the biggest set of hifi speakers i have ever seen with clubland 16 rettling out at full volume (highlt distorted). Andy ended up doing a 7 hour set at full throttle.

hope he will post a playlist soon.

I had a small wedding and had to fight my way through 60 people to get the gear in, who then sat and watched me setup. I was asked to play a lot of motown and was also at full throttle by 8pm playing some of my top drawer tunes. the hogroast started at 8.45 so i lost the floor totally and it was hard getting them back.

a good ammount of 70's disco got them going with the usual easy party classics form amy winehouse and scissor sisters etc. with a bit of chart stuff for the younger ones

Then

10.33 - Virtual DJ crashed. Arrghhhh. total audio dropout. Fortunately i had chealsea dagger cued up in a cd drawer and that led into a 1 hour indie/rock/punk slot. Hard work cd djing after using virtual dj for so long.

the rock & punk went down a storm but unfortunately left the bride a bit unhappy as she wanted a motown night. Sadly motown peaked before the hog roast and i couldnt get them up again with anymore.

One bloke came and shook my hand stating i was the best dj he had see in along tim, he was obvioulsy a jam/buzzcocks/undertones man

but within earshot some bloke was very unhappy "that was pooh.gif it was supposed to be a motown night and hes been playng a load of fluffing pooh.gif . id be asking for a refund"

he sat and tapped his feet to some motown tracks, what can you do?

all in all a fun weekend.

Backup gear - never leave home without it!

I've been meaning to post a playlist for a few days, but just hadn't got around to it. When we arrived, the stereo was pumping out chart tunes, so I started off with similar stuff, only to be told that the stuff I was playing was crap and that people wanted a load of Iron Maiden, ACDC and modern indie tunes. Suffice to say, I was happy to oblige.
