Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well?

I went to my brothers 30th Birthday party on Saturday night and of course as a DJ, the first thing you look for isn't whose party it is but what the DJ is like!!

Anyway, I noticed that on his 2 light stands he had what appeared to be 2 LED tubes down the middle of the stand. The tubes were split in half and the colours changed either by DMX or sound to light, not too sure.

These gave of a great effect and also added great colour to his set up. I know the easiest thing would of been to ask him but it's the old cliche " yeah of course your a DJ". I feel the same when people come up to me telling me what they would do and how to do it!

So, does anybody have any idea what these are and if so, where I can get some?

Cheers

I often find myself shuffling nearer to see what kit a DJ has..... you dont have to say you're a DJ just say really like your lights what are they..... everyone likes a bit of flattery - well i do anyway :-)

- oh and dont know what they are - there are alot of led tubes out there KAM seem to do some reasonable ones....(or did)

I saw these at the start of the year, not sure if these are the same ones;

I see them at £69.91 ea (inc VAT), but they do need their own controller (the tubes themselves are not DMX, but the controller IS).

They look great, and I was very impressed.

I think they would look great on a static colour, and when the party kicks off -run them in "eq" mode (or other). When I walked into the store- they were just running a colour fade, but the "eq" effect really looked good. People are used to basic tubes, and a this type of thing looks a bit different.

My main issue was working out where/how to mount them,
I think they would need some kind of flightcase for protection (not sure if they come with any bags etc)
