So, what would you play after Pencil Full Of Lead to keep the party going?
Robster
Depends whose on the floor..i

for example If it is youngish girls 20-30 somethings Christina Aguilera's Candyman mixes well.

older crowd i play it right to the end and play brown eyed girl

depends who is dancing etc

Wouldn't play it to start with. Terrible song by possibly the worst male voice in pop.

not a fan then .... biggrin.gif

me neither !

It has a Latin feel about it so Vida Loca could be an option that takes you back into the mainstream stuff.

It's a good one for weddings, I always dedicate the song to the groom and how I'm sure he's feeling about later tonight!!!

definate marmite.

his voice is outstanding imo, very unique but his songs leave something to be desired. I picked up his album with pencil full of lead on for the Mrs and i cant stand it.

Paolo Giovanni Nutini, good old scottish name eh!

a simular follow up track is not easy as its a bit too unique so i would just thrown in any party tune afterwards, love shack etc

Saw him on Radio1's big weekend on the telly - wasn't my cup of tea to be honest.

Just listened to it again on Spotify.. Yep this is a marmite type track as Dave says!

I like marmite, but not this track :/

i played that in a busy pub last night and it got a huge reaction, my own personal tastes go out the window when i'm working, i don't really like him either, however if one of his tunes gets the floor rocking then so what, followed it with reet petite by jackie wilson, then beatles twist and shout and jailhouse rock, pub went wild. If i only played music i liked personally then i'd never get a gig lol.

Oh agreed. If people want it then it gets played, obviously! There's a few rnb tracks whjich I dont think much to, but they get a good reaction too!

Agreed. I'll play it if requested, but I would never choose to. And I've had it clear a few dancefloors.

Sounds like a 70 year-old woman to me. Or Jimmy/Jeanette Krankie. Seriously, listen to Candy. That is an horrific voice!!!
