I think a lot of the evening games start at 7.30pm so by 9.30 it'll be over. I have a gig one night I'm meant to start at 8pm (its the 1st England game) I have beeen told to get there for 9 and I'll be paid the same.

Not that busy in June.. 1 kids party (5th) and 1 wedding (25th) at the moment. Both fall on dates when England are not playing.

The BBC has a pretty neat page;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/w...res_and_results

Obviously, there are Scottish, Irish and Welsh members here, so the page able allows you to highlight when your country is playing.

I think as the game is so hyped up, most people would think twice about having a wedding/party on a day when there is a big game. Sad but true!

Not my busiest month but enough to keep the hell hounds away.

I once went to a wedding in the middle of the Euro Cup, by 8pm the venue was full of women and non footy lovers with all us blokes inc the groom and best man in the bar......until the grooms mother found us.

My first ever karaoke gig in a residency was on the night England got booted out of the last world cup. Cue Always look on the bright side of life. Nearly got beaten to death by the landlady.

I try to watch the local team (Spurs) in the Pub. Its really an excuse to chat to mates, have a night (or afternoon).
I can probably name more beers than players.... beer.gif

I'm sure my celtic cousins will be supporting the same team as me - Anyone But England 071.gif

I don't see the World Cup adversely affecting me too much. There might be the occasional big game that causes me to start a little later than usual, but that's no different to a big Premier League or Champions League game.

I am the busiest I have ever been in June/July which is strange as a few venues have said they are quiet for weddings whist world cup is on
