My sound system is a Matrix 2u1200 amp with 2 ohm lm12s and 2 ohm lm5s. I am thinking of selling to get some smaller powered speakers but i havent got a clue how much to ask for the system. Any ideas, i would be grateful

A quick google shows a guy selling a 2u1200 for £200 on speakerplans.

Unless they are in mint/poor condition, a quick check on past sales on ebay would be a good indicator.
I'd personally like to avoid ebay, and would prefer to buy from forum members, but ebay should have some past sales to use as a guide.

I'd suggest selling it as separates for best return.

Thanks Jason, when you say sell separetely do you mean 4 speakers and the amp or each speaker on its own?

I don't know the speakers... If they are 2 subs and 2 tops, then it makes sense to sell together..
If they are just 2 pairs, then sell them separately.
Most DJ's would not want 4, but obviously you could do a deal.
