As I did my weekly browse through the charts, I noticed this group at #4 album in the album chart. It puzzled me as I've never heard of them before. A little bit of reseach on Wikipedia and Youtube, and I think I might just be a fan. They are a bunch of german guys who cover modern hits in a 50s rock n roll style. Here's a sample:

Umbrella - The Baseballs

Hmmmmmmmmm......Hayseed dixie springs to mind. A novelty put together suck it and see act IMO and it wont last..IMO

A friend of mine was in a punk/rockabilly band until last year. They did a load of showcase events for the big record compaines but none of them had the nerve to go for it. They were pretty unique and would of been far better

check out this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMcNNID6tew.

Just realised that the lead guitarist is playing my bloody guitar, cheeky git, he only borrowed it for a week to try it and i still aint got it back

Hayseed Dixie are still going strong, and put on an incredible live show. As a big fan of Hayseed Dixie and Richard Cheese, this band are right up my street.

Hats off to hayseed and mr cheese etc - very talented. i am a bit of a fan and admit to being a closet bluesgrass fan but its from a 'lime light' point of view that they will be here today and gone tomorrow. Ok not gone but in the back rows.

Do the baseballs do their own stuff or are they stuck doing the whole parody thing. It would be nice to see a new music revolution and rockabilly is the perfect genre, great music, great fashion and im sure all the hair gel manufacturers would love it.
