I am wondering can anybody offer any help with the VDJ plugins, I am a bit lost. The two I am interested in using are the slideshow feature and the karaoke rotation manager. When I go into config > Video I can see the plugins there but when I select them nothing happens. Do I need to download them first or something? The VDJ manual is'nt the best for explaining things.

ok i dont use vdj so i am guessing from what my mates told me ..yes you need to download the plugins and put them in the correct folders so vdj can see them also you need to make sure you have the latest directX 9 from microsoft for the karaoke one to work so i believe ..maybe some proper user will be able to help you properly

Thanks, the VDJ user guide isn't very clear on how to get it up and running, instructions on how to use it are fine. It looks like a very good feature and I have my first karaoke gig on wednesday night so hoping to have it sorted by then.

Try the VDJ forums - they are normally very helpful. I haven't used VDJ for a few years, so can't help (and I don't offer Karaoke!)

id be a bit careful what you install as some of the plugins are by third parties and vdj can't guarantee reliability. I have avoided any recent updates since 6.0.2 was released as it works for me and i dont want to cause any problems.

Figured it out I had to update my directx to the latest version. Works great very handy feature, having a bit of trouble though with the search function, it doesn't seem to find all my karaoke tracks, I have about 18,000 stored on the C Drive, some show up when you search for them, others don't, so will have to be careful to take down the disc numbers during gigs, bit annoying.

this will probably be down to mp3 tags your karaoke files may not be tagged but the file names may be there i believe you can search for file name on vdj ..this might help..

as i say im not a user of it but i have helped a few mates who do ...glad it was the direct x and its sorted
