Don't know if this has cropped up in conversation, I apologise if it has, but what is everyone's opinion of the various glee cover versions. Personally I am not a fan and have yet to purchase any of them . However I have been requested to play their version of true colours at a school prom in June and so it looks like I am finally going to have to part with 79p on I-Tunes and add it to my collection

I got the Madonna versions from Tune Tribe for 40p each. Worth having them if you do younger audience gigs

Personally I hate Glee with a passion and think they ruined many a classic tune, but I can't argue really ast hey are certainly popular with the younger crowd and get requested quite often.
Of course that's one of the downsides to being a dj, you often have to play music you hate but is mysteriously popular :)

Is Glee the new High School Musical? :

Again, my name must be added to the list of haters.
Just like the point made several times above, at least they like it when it is played.
My tip is that I have a friend who's I-Phone I borrow which has their first album on. She is happy for me to take it when ever I am DJ'ing which has saved me about £7.

I must be the only person on here to absolutely LOVE glee...
Granted, some of their covers are not that good, but overall I think they are very talented and some of the versions they have produced are good :)

I have never played any ot the Glee abominations and I hope and pray that I never find myself in a position where I will have to. This whole 'phenomenon' actually sickens me.

Agree with you on that one. I often spend a whole evening playing music I dont care for. It's all about giving the punters what they want....so I have a few Glee songs. Would I play them at home....definately not.

Hate Glee. Often get excitable little 18 year old boys asking for it in my bars and I always say sorry, No.
Same goes for Justin Beiber.
