Paul's Karaoke
Hi Guys N Dolls

I have just added 2 Big Screen Projection Screens to my Karaoke and was thinking of branching out into Video Disco's. Not something I've done before. I have a few DVD Music compilations which I have and will rip to AVI as soon as I find out the Pro's and Cons etc.

Could anyone advise me on media. I have been looking at MixMash which run up at £40 a disc which have 30 tracks on. (Q) Does anyone use these and what are your opinions. (Q) Does anyone know of other Media retailers for Video Tracks of High Quality (HD Pref.)

All information at this time would be gratefully recieved

Thanks in Advance

Hi Paul,

I've used to MixMash DVD's (and custom burn) for Halloween 09. Was good, and the custom burn allowed me to select a few "must haves". Service was good from them.
I may get another DVD (also doing halloween this year), but don't think I'll be offering it as an official service.

Alternate suppliers are PromoOnly they offer similar things.

If you are a member of DJ@, you will receive a discount on MixMash, just quote your membership number when ordering.

I have a buddy who uses promo-only and says they are excellent, I am seriously considering this myself as I have tried it out with VDJ on my laptop and all seems to work well. I have been thinking about approaching two local nightclubs where I have played on rare occasions that have linked screens everywhere, which are currently only used for advertising specials and upcoming gigs. If one of them are interested in doing it regularly I may go for it, however it would obviously be hugely expensive to start up, as you would need a large starter collection of tracks which don't come cheap signdammit.gif
