So I've played my last 3 or 4 gigs with one of my Mackie's working fine, and the other with no high-end sound output at all. I'm pretty sure it's the horn that's done, but I have no idea what the best way to resolve it is.

Got a quote from Surrey Amps (Mackie's repair centre for the UK) who asked me to remove the horn, send it to them and they would fix it for £67 + VAT + £10 P&P... almost £90.

Two problems with that is firstly the price - I'm thinking about just getting a set of Wharfedale Titans with my old KAM amp till I find a decent price to have the SRM fixed - and secondly, I have no idea how to pull the SRM apart to remove the horn in the first place!

Has anyone had this problem before, and if so what did you do about it?
Is there any way I could replace the horn myself?
I don't really want to leave it, as it just sounds pooh.gif with the high-end frequencies only coming from one of my three cabs (have an RCF 705 sub as well).

Help!?
