It's been a while since this topic came up, so I thought i'd refresh it for the benefit of new members.

In a topic last April, it was found that by selling Glowsticks at certain events, the DJ could make a few extra ££'s. I tried this, for a while as did several other members and the feedback was quite positive.

I have been contacted by a supplier of these products, and as of 21/1/04 he is having a three day sale on selected glow type products. So, if you want to make a bit of extra profit, or have been putting off buying glowsticks until you found them at the right price, then now is your chance smile.gif .

If you go on Ebay, this guy is selling the 8" glo sticks on there for as little as £5.50
per 100, he also has other amounts including 500 for just £35.
so maybe checkout his Auctions as well to compare the prices biggrin.gif

^^^ Thats interesting!^^^, I usually sell stuff slightly more expensive on E-bay and have them slightly cheaper on the website. I have to do this In order to re-pay Ebay's now excessive listing fees and the now VAT added Commission charges.

he does sell glowsticks for £5.50 but there is also £4.50 p&p so its really £10 per 100.... they are good quality. i use then... smile.gif

I suppose that the £4.50 P&P isn't too bad, if you buy more than 1 pack,or do some sort of "deal" with regard to carriage charges on a bulk purchase.

Speaking as somebody who uses the post as well as a carrier. £4.50 isn't that excessive. Bearing in mind you have the Packing container and materials as well as the actual postage charge to consider. Some customers do pull their face when they have to pay £4.00 for P&P on a few bulbs, for example, forgetting that it isn't just the postal charges that you need to take into consideration smile.gif .

This guy has a good reputation, both around the industry and on E-bay, and although he may not be as cheap as some of the imported rubbish around at the moment, the glowsticks are of an excellent quality and you'll easily be able to sell them on for £1+ - especially to the student fraternity, Who always have far too much money to splash around !. *(Stands back and waits to be flamed)*

GLS is also a member of DJU, so he may visit and reply to your questions, or drop him an email.

I could link this in with the other topic about advice on the forum because as a result of 1st reading about them on here I now sell glow sticks at my functions (free to the kids - adults £1 each) and give all profits to my charity which amounts to approx £60 per 100 sticks.

The most I have sold at one function is 42 and evryone thought they were a great buy.

I agree with the above posts, having used GLS several times in the past excellent quality and packing.

Did'nt realise he was a member of DJU though would have asked for a discount on my £10 inc p&p whistling.gif

Hello Garry,

You'll get my order, after I've paid my tax bill!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gary
Its disheartening (although I applaude the business-sense) that the offer for the necklace glowsticks (22inch) applies to ALL the products in that section that are £25 and above...

Guess how much a single pack of glowsticks is (A tube of 50)...£24.00 .: Therefore no offer applies. Very "Dixons-esque". sad.gif

However, I will probably place an order - Simply to use as giveaways at my daughters birthday party next month, and then to give away the remaining sticks as Kiddies prizes at weddings etc.
YourBigEvent
Try these instead

Not so much for kids parties but .........................
