Hey!

I thought I would start this topic dont know if it will take off but will give it a go, any songs you hear or have which you think will become big hits care to share the love? I work at JuiceFM in Liverpool and so will be able to hear a lot of new releases before they come out for example Photographs - Rihanna and Will.I.Am is set to be big and will post it on here.

So get your Mystic Meg caps on and tell us what you think will be a hit in the future, i'll kick us off this track:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wavpWRK6IX8

Its called We no speak americano - Yolanda ft. Be Cool and DCup [EDIT]
But it's very similar to Gramophonedzie - Why dont you.

Have a listen and tell us what you think.

I should stay well away from this one, my penultimate guess was LMFAO. . .

I currently think Adam Lambert will be the next big thing, especially since Lady Gaga gave him one of her songs and Dr. Luke is one of the producers and co-writers on his album. But having said that out loud I imagine I've jinx'd him. biggrin.gif

Novelty cheesy track imo - almost gogol bordello meets basshuter.

Gogol was on Jools holland last night, daft as you like.

LMFAO. . .

I hope you do realise im going to spend the rest of the day figuring out what that means

Obviously i know you were talking about the Grammy-nominated electro hop group from Los Angeles, California that consists of DJ/rappers Redfoo (Stefan Gordy) and Sky Blu (Skyler Gordy), incidentally who's group's name comes from an Internet conversation that Sky Blu had with his grandmother.

i also know that in 2009 they had a top 100 billboard (peaked at 51) (uk chart peak position 9) hit with the track Im in miami bee..atch, which they gave the alterantive tiltle im in miami trick to satify the media.

ok i googled it - i am a master of google-fu today.

tis a good day when you learn something - EVEN WHEN YOUR PIERS ARE TAKING THE BLAH BLAH OUT OF YOU AND HAVING A LAUGH AT YOUR EXPENSE

Now im going to do the ironing whilst listening to said RA cd ranting.gif

Good idea for a post topic. You are.in my opinion, just what we need here.Someone on the inside.
As for the track.I think I like it-little sections that, like Gramophonedzie, take a little time getting used to.
Liscio
In Hip Hop, Drake will be the next BIG thing, he is already on the radar but I believe he is still just 23 and has already worked with Jay Z, Dre, Eminem, Young Money etc

Another is Plan B, his new album is very commercial, completely different from his first if anyones heard both and well worth a listen, very 60s/70s vibe to some of the tracks

Second that, the new single she said is very good!

Heres a few which I think will be big:

Eenie Meenie - Sean Kingston ft. Justin Bieber
Riding Solo - Jason De Rulo
Imma be rocking that body - Black Eyed Peas
Dizzee Disco - Dizzee Rascal

Also for the club DJs on the remix packages for new songs I reccommend:

Until you were gone (Buzz Junkies Mix) - Chipmunk ft. Esmee
Dirty Picture (Red Top Mix) - Taio Cruz ft. Kesha
In the air (Axwell Mix) - TV Rock ft. Rudi
Do you remember (Ruff Loaderz) - Jay Sean
Telephone (Crookers Mix) - Lady GaGa ft. Beyonce
Pursuit of happiness (Steve Aoki Mix) - Kid Cudi
Im in the house (Warren Clarke) - Steve Aoki
I Am (Moto Blanco) - Mary J Blidge
Carry Out (Chew Fu) - Timbaland and Timberlake
Omg (Ripper Commercial Club Mix) - Usher ft. Will.I.Am
Say its over (Cahill) - NDubz

Hope this helps!

Dizzee's new hit will be a summer anthem, anything he touches is gold at the moment!

The album is being advertised pretty much all the time on Spotify at the moment... Slightly bored of hearing it now... Its "ok" as far as albums go..

However I really can't talk about taste at the moment... since my current spotify playlist is just popular female vocalists/groups (and their albums) boff.gif

Dizzee Disco - Dizzee Rascal

Isn't Dizzee's new song called 'Dirty Disco' not Dizzee Disco?

Either way, something very special is going to have to knock this one off course this summer!

I cant stand this track, I like Dizzee but this track seems to use the same lyrics as is last two singles.. Rush job in my eyes.. Needless to say it will be a summer slam for sure.

I just heard this track for the first time, and think it's terrible. Then again, I think Dizzee Rascal is terrible. He, and the equally over-rated Calvin Harris, had a moment of serendipity when they released "Dance Wiv Me" which somehow managed to be a good tune. However I don't rate anything else that either of them have doene, either together or individually. If this song is going to be the big hit of the summer, Lord help us all.
Ste Owens
Yeah it is called dirtee disco my mistake!

Other tracks which I think will be big:

Inna - Amazing
Jason DeRulo - Riding Solo
Robyn - Dancing on my own
Example - Kickstarts
Tinie Tempah - Frisky
Gabrielle Climi - Hearts dont lie (moto blanco mix is good)
David Guetta - Gettin over you
Alejandro - Lady GaGa
Candy - Aggro Santos

and for the club jocks some mixes:

OMG (Riva Starr Mix) - Usher ft. Will.I.Am
Dancing on my own (Buzz Junkies) - Robyn
Alejandro (Bimbo Jones) - Lady GaGa
Commander - Kelly Rowland
My feeling - Junior Jack
Solo (Dave Aude) - Iyaz
P.I.J. Roadshow
Skepta - Rescue Me
Katy Perry Featuring Snoop Dogg - California Gurls

So after all the hype about this terrible track it hit #1 for 1 week (although I think anyone who collects 10 promotional vouchers gets a #1 for a week these days), I've had a grand total of 0 (zero) requests for it and have only ever played it once when it cleared a busy dancefloor. Was everyone else's experience of this song the same or have I just got lucky?

I had a large youth club disco (300+ kids) last friday night, cracking gig as usual, a monkey could dj at these as the kids get so into it that it's almost impossible to clear the floor, played dizee rascal and the song didn't exactly clear the floor but alot of people left it and there was no proper atmosphere, crap song that I won't be playing again unless specifically requested. Having said that I do like the video version of his "you got the love" with Florence welch from the Brit awards, and play this regularly between Karaoke singers. Two other rascal tracks, Dance wiv me & holiday weren't that bad either, but you certainly won't catch me listening to his album in the car on on my i-pod.
MintyDave
Yup, Dirtee Disco has cleared a floor for me too. I kind of like it and love the video but its a failure.

Nothing sticks out that much at the moment, unless i watch Katy Perry videos.

Obviously im talking about clever artistic things. ;)

Fugative - Bad Girl
Preeya Kalidas ft. Mumzy Stranger - Shimmy
Alex Gaudino - I'm in Love

Flo Rida feat David Guetta - Club Can't Handle Me
The Futureheads - I Can Do That
Daruso - Since You Been Gone
