Hi All

This is my first post, been browsing for a while now but with a St georges day disco booked for the 23rd I was wandering if anyone had any idea's for a playlist. Probably a good start would be they all need to to english singers.

I will start the list off, any idea's please post.

Morrissey - English Blood, Irish Heart
Billy Bragg - New England
New Order - World In Motion
Blur – Parklife
Marble
Made in England - Elton John not entirely suitable for St. Georges but I'm pretty sure most of the not so positive references will go over the audiences head as they groove to the chorus.

Same goes for London Calling

I would play London Girls and Margate by Chas and Dave

Don't forget English Rose - The Jam

I guess the football songs would also go down well (Vindaloo etc).
I would be worried that the playlist is looking a bit "blokey" - gotta find some female singers!

Definitely Theme from Braveheart, Runrig, Bay City Rollers, Proclaimers, Lulu, Skids, Big Country and Simple Minds, and The Corries - Flower of Scotland.

Well that's what I'd play on St George's Day hits_the_fan.gif
