Anybody own / used the KAM Par Bar Mk II? Considering buying it as I love the simplicity and ease of set up, and for a small gig it should be far more effective than moonflowers etc. Is the foot controller reliable and can the unit be used without it? I am in a rural area of Ireland so if things break down it is a major pain, as no dealers nearby, I always try to buy ultra reliable equipment for this reason. Also linked below is the equinox version, big difference in price so I wonder is this a better option. Also how is the brightness and spread in a larger venue?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I worked with a band that was using 2 sets(One would do) and I was impressed.
With venues not always allowing smoke I like the idea of the par bar and it is easy to set up.

Thanks, never seen them in action and I don't trust youtube vids. My main concern would be reliability, the foot control looks tatty, although if it can operate sound to light without it then I wouldn't be too concerned

i'd have a look at the acme led par panels. simular idea but you have the option of using them for other things as they are independant panels . you could set them up on a cheap t bar and take them off for other uses.

i have been to see them in the shop above and they are impressive.

Wow, hadn't seen those before think I may have to reconsider the ParBar, I am thinking for weddings a set of these in the middle of the TBar with a Moonflower on either end would be some show. Will think long and hard over the weekend

That is what I really like about this forum, a while back I would have simply purchased the ParBar on impulse without considering the alternatives, cheers

Have a look at my lastest photos I posted up.
