Went and had a listen to the new V2's in black yesterday not that the black makes them sound any better but they look the Bee's knees and sound the dogs dangles. So two cups of coffee and half hour talking about what deal he can do on part ex for my stuff we struck a deal and I pick them up tomorrow, I am so very excited. Covers and leads included. Going to set it all up and have a play this weekend pics to follow.

Yeah always had a thing for twins.

I must add that this forum has helped me immensely in the decision of what to buy, reading the older posts going way back right upto the current discussions. The search on this forum is like google there is a topic for almost everything dj related and it is all very helpful. So thanks DJU is helping me spend my money (wisely i hope).

Mmmm, IN BLACK!!!!! I guess thats my main complaint - mine are the dark blue.

Otherwise, I'm sure you'll be very happy with them.

Make sure you get some bags/cases to put them in. After spending £££ on these babies, you'll want to keep them in good condition.

I'm using the Gator Cases with Wheels - not cheap, but has kept mine in suprerb condition, and has storage for cables.
This does allow Roadie #1 Carmen to help getting them into the venue.

Thats great feedback for the forum, just whats it all about.

Your next piece of excellent top rated advice is to buy a pair of Pioneer CDj 400s and post them to me, i will pm my address asap. That would make me very happy and will give you the sense of satisfaction of helping others. kid.gif

Yes, the Mk1 had the PSU+Overheating problems, Mk2 has a better amp and so doesn't have this problem.
Google;
mackie 450 overheat

All things fail at some point, hopefully it'lll always be a quick fix.

There are issues with some V1's.
The V2's I've got run at about 40C all night. Anyone thinking of getting V1s should run them at gig levels for a while before commiting.

I don't know if I have just been lucky or others are using the V1s to destruction but I have never had an overheat problem or even seen the clip light come on for that matter. I have used them for indoor and out door (hot summer time OB's Fates etc) all day events without a glitch. I do wonder if some people are miss using the gain adjust knob on the back of them.

Agreed. Mine have been perfect. Just leave them at the 12 o'clock position.

I leave them between the quarter to and 5 to position never any higher and this has been ample for most rooms I have covered with plenty of volume and headroom for the night.
