The most unusual I have heard was:

And if asked, I would suggest:

Will Young - Anything is possible (Because I think it is a beautiful song for a first dance).

Oh dear I've just realised that I can't remember what we had at my OWN wedding . Mind you, I have had 8945 sleeps since then.

Ive had some funny ones in my time.... The bride and groom at one wedding asked me to give them a really romantic introduction for their first dance... which just happened to be agadoo! A great way to get the party going!

Some others I like are Amazed, Lonestar, You do something to me, Paul Weller, Your the best thing, style council - ooo there are tons!

Most unusual is again Agadoo, or Tom Jones - Help Youself or Madness and Baggy Trousers

Popular is Lonestar - Amazed or something similar

The one that i've been asked for a few time around here is, Celine Dion - "If you ask me too". Hadn't heard it before, and didn't think that I had a copy, until I found it on track 4 of one of her other CD Singles

Strangest one we have had was Cotton Eye Joe, but, I will say that it broke the ice superbly and most of the room were up all night......

Most people go for Shania Twain Forever and Always and second we have strangley enough Always & Forever, but one we are doing on Valentines they are haiving Mesmerize.

Not sure about the most requested from all the weddings I have done but Aerosmith - Dont wanna miss a thing seems to be gaining popularity once again. Played it quite a few times last year.

Done a few where half way through the first dance a nnovely one is played. Cartoons 'witchdoctor' is one I remember having to fade in to a nice romantic ballad!
