Hi Ian,
I think you have a broken CAPS key? biggrin.gif
Posting in ALL CAPS is considered "Shouting", and is also difficult to read.

Looking at the videos, the KAM Quadrix looks to be a bit better IMO- but it really depends on what else you'll run with it and the average size of your gigs.

Best to go and see one as a demo, its sadly very easy to spend £££ on lights that really don't live up to the video!

Hi Ian

something like the kam quadtrix/acme miracled are indeed light weight fixtures and fairly effective in smoke. they have a decent spread with low power consumption and the amce can be controlled with a simple ca-8 controller.

however, and there is always a however, in my opinion you may find the static effect form 2 gobo lights and the quadtrix/miracled a bit ott unless you are in bigger venues and dont project everything directly onto the dance floor.

I have a miracled, 2 dynamo scanners and 2 250w godo fixtures as my standard light rig and have to angle the gobos upover and project onto walls as the miracled has a very wide spread.

just my opinion.

im posting some gear for sale in the relevant area and you may find something interesting.
