The machines are available for hire at very reasonable costs. second hand machines crop up on ebay and sell for about £80.00 now the costs....

Dry ice need to be ordered 3-5 days in advance from e.g BOC, the best ice is the granules as this don't chill the water too quick, next cost each bag costs in the region of £35 - 45 per bag each blast will take about 3/4 of a bag. Next dry ice evaporates under transportation as you will not be able to keep it cold enough we use special containers that cost £400 each.

A dry ice machine is a large kettle, you fill it to the level with water and plug it in wait for the water to reach temperature, remove the lid, fill the basket with ice, replace the lid and secure it and then point into the desired position and slowly lower the basket into the water and that it.
You must advise the guests not to dive into the cloud as there is risk of suffocation.
