Hi all

I've ben thinking about my sound set up for a long time now.

I was thinking about selling my Mackie SRM 450 Mk1's and RCF 902 sub and going for FBT's.

However with smallish gigs I can see some merit in using the lightweight RCF 301a instead.

Does anyoe use the RCF 310a?

Are they good enough for small gigs without a sub, say 50-60 people?

Hi Rob,

I decided to only use my ART310a's recently for a 13th party in a school hall for about 30 - 40 kids (and about 15 parents). I was really impressed with their perfomance, they easily filled the hall to the sides and projected clearly right to the back. I felt the sounds levels were loud enough to feel like a proper gig and the bass was clear and had depth to it (obviously you won't get bass bin type oomph, but they were surprisingly good), and I still had plenty of headroom left if I had needed it. I'd say that if you were playing a small gig (especially in a small venue) at sensible levels they could handle it very well.
