Professional Mobile Disco & Wedding Disco
dean
I intend to form a dj company now I don't have an idea wat to call it I mean is it called an entertainment Coy, Promotional Coy,Production Coy.
These are the ideas I have in mind,
1. Group together DJs so we can tour clubs in and around my country
2. Teach upcoming djs
3. organise functions,gigs
4. even open up my own club or pub
5. open a studio to do mixtapes etc

More ideas and tips are welcome guys

Good luck, nothing like starting with big ideas ?

If I were you I would start off by doing mobile discos and work up from there, if it was that easy to do I would have done it 20 years ago and be living in France with my own vineyard by now tongue.gif along with Mikeee, Chris, Eskie and Spin !!!

Although not all together but in separate houses you understand

Dean it looks like you are going to be a very busy boy! My advice is that if you are going to start any business at all, you have to know an awful lot about it to make a success of it. Good research and knowledge is a must!

If u got the mind power to do it - then go for it matee. I'm planning on doing a similar thing.

Seriously though - u do need to take the advice of getting into mobile DJing first - it's an easier path.

My set up is: MOBILE DJING > SPECIALIST PARTIES > MIX CDs > PRODUCTION > BARS > CLUBS.

That's what I'm gonna bust my gut doing.

kid.gif Try to get some free information from your local business link. They will advise you of strategy, business palns & grants etc... you will probably be skint for 3 years and make a lot of mistakes. Network youself around other people in the industry, know equipment, management structures of all different companies everything & about the whole industry. learn how to deal with people aswel do any type of dj work.

If it does not work out then cut your losses & move onto something else with the experience you have gained.

Hope this helps, if you believe in yourself then you can do it....eventually! kid.gif

I suggest you get in touch with your local Business Link Team,

They are usually local council run & will help you develop a business plan and everything that goes with it. From there you'll see if you have a sound propersition to take to the bank manager or a pipe dream/ no offence intended

They will also take you through legal matters & usually have a solicitor on hand to, at some point through the 1 week course, guide you on everything from say copyright to names, plc ltd etc etc.....

Good luck
