I have my first ever wedding gig on Saturday i have a few questions if anyone could help

1. They have requested me to play losts of 80's music can anyone reccomend must play tracks?

2. Whats the best type of music to play while people are ariving at the reception?

3. What type of songs would you follow the first dance with

Have you asked them for their favourites?

First thing I think of when people ask for 80's is 'New Romantics' - so Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Flock of Seagulls, Blancmange, Classix Nouveaux, Soft Cell, Culture Club, Japan, Ultravox, Adam and the Ants, Human League etc (and Bowies Ashes to Ashes was a bit of an anthem).
Have a chat with them to make sure - if they are all 'old' New Romantics ask if there were any particular clubs they went to, then google it - that could give you some tracks particular to their area as well...luckily a lot of the above groups were in the charts and quite popular so most of the guests would recognise them...

Here's some tracks I'd probably play at an New Romantics type do...there's loads more, so if this is along the right lines get back in touch for some more.....(you should find loads of cheap 80's compilations in HMV etc)
