I have a PDA which I use to store all my details addresses etc on, I was wondering if there is a program that would catalogue all the tracks I have so I could use it to search for a particular track when asked at a venue ????#
If not.....what methods do you use to find tracks and listings at your gig`s....and don`t tellme you use your memory laugh.gif laugh.gif At my age I need all the help I can get 071.gif

For finding my tracks I use luck and that common concept....."Seat of yer pants D.J'ing".

Having just started the change from CD to laptop, I find the "search" function in OTSDJ more than adequately fulfils the role of both finding tracks in seconds and informing the clients what tracks I have from any given artist.

However the PDA application is a good idea for those still spending hours looking for "that" track on CD. However I don't own a PDA and so wouldn't know what to recommend.

I just wondered if I could list them in something like Excel, and then transfer the file across to the PDA ????

Aaaah, Chris A GADGETS Question!!!

Of course you can use Excel, on your desktop/laptop and then transfer it to your PDA.

What PDA do you have and what OS, there is another way but I would need to know what machines you have

As it is Windows based there are many apps that will run on it, and you could even control it via Bluetooth

I am looking at getting another iPaq (Sorry CP !!) because of the apps that are now available, Sat Nav, TV and video, etc etc etc, very handy if you rig it up in your vehicle

What would be useful is a proggy that lists all the tracks and Artists so you could search when doing the gig to find what disk etc a track is on.
I am sure there must be such a proggy but as yet I have not found any

Excel will do that
