He had some great material out in the 60's.

In the 70's and beyond he produced Al Green and Ann Peebles amongst others.

He was responsible for the distinctive sound of Hi Records of Memphis.

He suffered a heart attack 2 weeks ago and died January 5 aged 81.

I really like his song" Everything is gonna be alright" now that's a tune! Don Bryant on vocals Willie on trumpet it gets my feet tapping every time.

Yes. I bought the 45 of that when it was first issued in the UK.

Both it and the flipside - "That Driving Beat" - later became popular on the Northern Soul circuit.
