Hi all and a Happy New Year, I have recently bought VDJ 5, used it on New Years Eve and it crashed 3 times wallbash.gif I spent most of the night on egg shells waiting for it to go again. The error from the laptop says that the graphics driver has stopped working and then it all locks up. My laptop is fairly new(Toshiba Satellite) and my OS is Vista. Anyone got any tips huh.gif

Mick,

I too had some problems getting VDJ going but they were soundcard problems. They have an excellent support service on their website. If you can't find the answer on their database, just enter the details of the problem and you'll get a ticket number. Depending on what time of day you do it (they're in the US) they often answer within hours.

Sounds to me like there's something on your laptop you need to disable but that also depends upon whether or not you are just using VDJ on your computer or pumping it out through an external soundcard/player/mixer.

I'm no techie but the VDJ support people has sorted all of my gremlins out. I;m sure they can do the same for you.

Virtual Dj are now on to the 6.0.5 release. when you say you have version 5 are you refering to the 'numark cue 5' branded version which is now actually 'cue 6'.

i would do all the updates including the latest driver for your soundcard to start.

cheers

i always disable wireless modem, cd player, reduce display properties and run a proram called
dpclat which constantly monitors the latency issues and hav not had a problem in ages since starting
to do all this before a gig.

What I will say is that the customer care is pretty shoddy, over a week and no reply, pity as it seems a great program for karaoke if the niggles could be sorted. Anyway take note if you are thinking of buying pooh.gif
