hi everyone first of all a merry xmas to you all, i need to purchase a new laptop for jan. i am using otsav, i have a budget of £400. is there something out there that will run the programme smoothly plenty of ram and hard drive is a must, let me know what your thoughts are as there is a lot on the market.

what sort of outputs do you need?

Graphical : VGA / HD / S-Video / DVI ??

Audio : Standard jack, optical ?

The only issue you may have is Windows 7.... however argos do the same laptop but with Vista for 369

thanks alex for your quick reply, that looks just the job. i will have a wander over to pc world and check that out. i will be using a mackie sound interface with otsav so that looks like it will cope no problem, a word of advice never buy anything from currys any problems they just repair they dont exchange or give you your money back.

HAHAHA... I know what you mean about currys.

The nice thing is, PC World, Curries and Dixons are all part of the DSG group, so they should ... should.... match the price of the other stores.

You may even be able to get them to match argos' price.
