The Peavey SP2X is more of an an American model than a European one, but i believe it is similar in spec to the old Hisys2XT, which was replaced by the Hisys 2RX and which now has been replaced by the new breed Peavey UL Messenger series.
So in response to your question the SP2X is a pretty old model but nevetheless a solid all round performer. If the price is right could be a good deal.
