For 11th parties, they're almost likely to be into the all of current charts, plus the usual "dance-to" suspects (macarena / cha cha slide / etc).

Cheers

now 72,73 and 74 would be the best option. I do quite a few school disco's for same age group and thats all they ask for plus a few surprise oldies

Playlist provided for my 10th birthday this Sunday;
QUOTE
Cheryl Cole - Fight for this love
Pixie Lott - Boys & girls
JLS - Everbody in love / beat again
Kings of Leon - Sex on fire
Alexandra Burke - Bad boys
Saturdays - Forever is over / up
Pussycat dolls - Hush hush / Jai ho
Katie Perry - Hot & cold
Beyonce - Sweet dreams / Single ladies
Neyo - Closer
Lady Gaga - Just dance
Girls Aloud - The promise / Sound of the underground
Sugababes - Get sexy right now
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Abba - Mamma Mia
George Michael - Freedom 90

Not a specific CD, but the last few "Now" CD's will cover most- apart from the really recent pre-christmas stuff.

Clubland stuff as suggested by Gary will also come in handy, but be prepared to be inundated with Lady Gaga requests....

Just watch out the're no "pre-mixed" (ugh!), so a download is sometimes better as it contain each track and the mix at the end (at least on 7Digital)

Hope you have a good one.

There's a couple of compilations CDs I have where there's about 1 frame of the next track at the end of the previous track. quite annoying (Its "The Best Dance Album In The World Ever...." series - 1994-2001 ish). Couple of the latter ones (I think #10 and the 2000's one) are culprits :/

I got one of the latest "Ministry" CD's for Tescos - no mention of "Mixed by" (which normally sends me running). Got it home and found all tracks are mixed - no good for me (apart from personal listening or emergency's!)

Downloaded (and paid for again!) from 7Digital, and got all tracks separate and the "CD" mix for each CD at the end.

I'm finding downloads are much better, but this comes with other problems - and I prefer to buy CD's!

Thats part of the problem with CDs, you can't tell immediately if its mixed - most of the Ministry ones seem to be...

On the 7 digital, do you also get a copy of the full mixed version as well as individual tracks?

Cheers,

Yes, its a bit of a pain, as the extra mixes are fairly hefty downloads. Track listing for MOS Anuual 2010;

I would expect other download stores have the same - checking the tracklisting should show this.

I;ve just posted a playlist from a 13th birthday last night.

Also be confident on the mic and ask for reqeusts, they will certainly tell you what they want!
