Hi one and all,
As you know the TVDJA will cease to exist in March, when the NADJ takes over. Had a long chat with the Committee, and we are offering the following:
Our membership runs 1st April to 31st March, so anyone wishing to join now will get the last 2 months of the TVDJA and the 1st Year of the NADJ for £45.00, our normal membership is £60.00 per year, but i suggested we would prpbably get a lot more members if we reduced our fees. If you are one of the few remaining with Applications that you haven't sent back yet, with the old price on them, write on the top NADJ Offer, and send it back with £45.00 and your in for 14 months.
If any of you are within easy reach of Oxford, and would like to attend our little dinner at The Oxford Hotel, we still have some tickets left.
Sunday 25th January - 7.00pm to midnight. £35.00 per person.
If you are interested I need to know by next Tuesday (20th) so that we can give the hotel numbers for meals.
There are rooms at the Hotel - Double = £85 (ouch), or the Travel lodge over the road at £42.50, that sounds better.
PM or email me.
Many thanks

NADJ = National Association of Disc Jockeys. A UK Organisation originally called the TVDJA (Thames Valley Disc Jockey's Association). The "Thames Valley" is an area of Southern Britain. Since the TVDJA began accepting members from all over the UK, and not just limited to those within the borders of the Thames Valley, more recently they have decided to change the name to NATIONAL, so people from out of the area wouldn't feel like Outsiders

.
The point of the NADJ, is to offer advice to it's members, to have meetings to discuss the industry in general and where it can be improved. There is no Union as such which represents D.J's as a profession, so being a member of an organisation like the NADJ is the closest thing we have to a Union in the UK. There are other advantages also but that is the nuts and bolts of it.
In other words, a bit like this forum, but with a more physical presence

Mikeee, good luck with NADJ.... Are you sad to be losing TVDJA - its been around for such a long time now ! Ah well, out with the old, in with the new. Dont forget about my tip for the hotel room price (ask on the night and not before... £20 should do the trick)xxx

Chris, where the hell did you get that application form from.
I'll email you the current one.
PLEASE IGNORE THE ADDRESS IF YOU DOWNLOADED THE FORM.
That form has got to be over ten years old and the address was the former secretary and he left over two years ago.
Chris, if you want to join, PM or Email me your address and I'll pop it in the post.

Is there PLI with the NADJ Mikeee? I recall you said that the "old" TVDJA could no longer offer it, but has that changed since the NADJ plans took off?

Hi Gary, The quick answer, at the moment is NO.
But as I've mentioned before the company we recommend does offer the best price around. They have promised to look into offering members a further discount, I should have an answer to this around Feb / Mar time. The down side is that their policy runs Sept 2 to Sept 1 every year.

Mikeee - I hate to worry you but I downloaded the original form from the TVDJA site - under "Membership". Not sure whether you have an old / new site, but I googled "TVDJA" and clicked on the first link which appeared and downloaded it from there!!
The new form has now been attached to my original post.
