never used any of the above items, but if your speakers are 800 a side you definately want a bigger amp, (eg one of about 800+ a side).

Well they had to save money somewhere didn't they!!

.
Take it back and demand something more realistic and with more power!...like a hairdryer

.
No damage will result from using this, however you will only be getting a fraction of the capabilities from your speakers, and I doubt that you'll be getting anything much from the Subs.
Looking at your subs they are 500W Peak and 250W RMS, if your Top Cabs are 300W RMS then you have 550W RMS Handling worth of speakers at a total impedance of 4 Ohms.
Ideally, you need to be looking at a 2 x 500W RMS @ 4 Ohms Amplifier at least for this combination.

Dont know if this is true.. but when I first started out I was told a good yard stick was to reckon 2 watts per person - ie., 300 people 600w system? Perhaps the techie bods could tell me if this is relatively true or not?

Yes, Kazz, a good rule of thumb advice for those starting out.

Depends on how much your willing to spend?.
Since you've spent a reasonable amount on quite reasonable speakers you wouldn't be doing yourself any favours to skimp on the Amp driving them. Although you don't need to spend £1000's either. I wouldnt bother with Warrior, which are similar to DAP in IMHO.
So my first suggestion would be:-
QSC RMX 1450 - 2x 450W RMS @ 4 Ohms, 2 ohm Stable and used in Many pro and touring applications. In other words rock solid reliability and built like a brick S*ithouse. Cost £440.00
For Slightly More Power you could also consider the NEW QSC RMX1850HD - 2x 550W @ 4 Ohms and costs £539.00
You could also consider a Peavey Amp. The PV-1500 will deliver 2x 500 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms. No idea of the cost, since I don't retail Peavey, but run a search on google.
Medium Priced Amps:-
Consider the Yamaha P3500S - 2x 590W RMS @ 4 Ohms, use this with caution since it is slightly more powerful than your speakers. Price £379.00
The McGregor RM1000 (Now Called RS1000) - 2x 500W RMS @ 4 ohms £ price varies but around the £380 mark. I've used the older RM1000 for years myself with no problems.
Also Check out the range of C-Mark amps on my website, i've sold quite a few of these and the feedback from customers has been very positive.
I'm also about to stock the DARE Range of Amps, but i'll let you know my findings on these when i've taken a few out on test with my rig,

The best price i've seen for the Peavey PV1500 is £295. Remeber these amps have 2 built in active crossover so will be ideal for your bi-amp set up.
