Its interesting how requests change over time i have put no for maybe asked once in the year occasionally for maybe once a month at most yes to at least twice a month and never for cant remember the last time ofr ever being asked for it.

I have noticed some pubs are elvis pubs some neil diamond pubs some country etc i get a fair mix of newer songs fire by kasabian is popular for example , fight for this love by cheryl cole but thats because i constantly update and singers know i do.

sounds a great venue to me with no doubt some characters from that list dukesy! ok off to work now myself

My Heart Will Go On

This was so requested especially with the young girls who used to sing worse than Gedward It would be asked for at least 3 times in a night. I got so fed up of listening to it I took it off and told everyone that the disc was broken and i'm waiting for a replacement......anyone done the same with any tracks

There's been a few moments I'd have liked to have removed 'I Will Survive' 014.gif , but not felt compelled to lie or deceive about it - customer is king! thumbup.gif

Nah, not a Saint! I simply didn't not feel the need to Bull pooh.gif the singers!
Generally, if I really hated then what I was listening to, I simply wouldn't have offered the service! laugh.gif

I believe "Paradise by the dashboard light" is made up of three songs....so why not just play a short version? I'm sure there are short versions of the track out there.
Dream Catchers
Big Girls seems a little out of place there!

Why? The Mika track (Sunfly CD+G) was popular with a few kids at the residency. biggrin.gif

Paradise by the dashboard light was written as one track but does have three sections ..paradise...let me sleep on it...Praying for the end of time

I dont believe the sections were released separately on karaoke unless someone can point me in the right direction , also people asking for paradise by the dashboard light would i am sure want the full long version with the three sections

There are 31 CDG discs with paradise by the dashboard light on it

I have it on 11 discs , the shortest good version is 7 mins 43 with the longest good version being 8 mins 49 give or take ten seconds from the start. i might dig out versions i didnt put in my short list due to the music being of a poor standard or in the wrong key or wrong lyrics and re assess them it was a long time ago i did that.

I don't mind if the people singing it can vaguely hold a note but when they cant and one of the duet gives up in the second or third section it can be like having fillings extracted.

i dont believe it even charted as a top 40 UK single but i maybe wrong there.

It's a good track, it just seems an awful lot more recent than the rest.
I'm surprised there were no others from the same time!

It was a couple of years ago Jim. smile.gif
There were only a few kids who actually sang, and they chose to sing what the adults sang, in partuclar this track, Amarillo, Grease and Hey jude.

The only one that I can hold any sort of tune to, although I wouldn't exactly class it as tune when I do sing, is Daydream Believer LOL

I heard vokf sing recently. He's really good! thumbup.gif
His version of 'Feelings' is amazing! notworthy.gif

Apparently I have a half decent voice and there are a few songs that I can carry off well. But I've always had trouble hearing myself over the music and a lot of the time I just end up shouting, especially if I'm drunk, as you can see here:

Drunken MiTCH Shouting

And yes I am slugging wine straight from the bottle, apologies.

But, as far as karaoke goes, I Will Survive and Angels should be banned. The long songs are ok though, as long as they are used sparingly.
