Hey Dudes,

I noticed the other topic on DL1, but it looked old, so here's a new one.

Basicly a DL1 is a yoke light with an 800 TV line res (HDTV) projector, instead of gobo's and colours. With these you can plug a DVD player in and get better res that a home TV on analog.

Or you can do what most clubs are looking at, add a Catalyst Media Server to.
What you can do then is turn the projector into a light, by using this server to make gobo's, video images, colour light even writing. Basicly the look is limited by your creativity.

And the best thing is that it is all DMX controled, the DL1 and the Media Server. Yes the Media server, which is a G5 apple mac, is controlled by 56 channels. So you can program the whole show via DMX, sit back and relax.

I don't know if Chris sells them, but I won't put the web link, just go to google and search 'High End Systems', the gear is under digital lighting menu.

Any more questions, message me and if the club gets these lights, I'll take some picture and post them for you's to look at.

Cheers,
Adrian

I also forgot to say that no other lighting company I know of, including Martin make these.

And just so you don't think there new to the market, there lights are used in Eurovision Song Contest, Clubs (Ministry Of Sound Clubs), Etc....

I just wanted to add this because of some one saying that they would rather buy a Martin. fear.gif

Heres something intresting aswell, the DL1 is programable with its time to do a movement, the fastest it will rotate at is 0.15sec.
Thats quick!!!

Cheers,

Adrian

Thanks for the info, but a bit specialised and out of the reach of the average MOBILE DJ doing an 11th Birthday or Wedding Reception for 100 people. 071.gif

Whats wrong with martin lighting?
DJ_Ajay
There's nothing wrong with martin lights. I think they are some of the best around, but they don't make anything like this.

These are in there basic form, an yoke with a projector instead of a light.

Thats why I said that martin don't make anything like this and they don't,
go to there site and have a look, then go to the High End Systems site and see what I'm talking about.

Yes please, I worked it out...6 of these means I would need to work EVERY saturday night for the next 43 years WITHOUT MAKING ANY PROFIT AT ALL.

On reflection I may only get four !!

Ajay - are you anywhere near moloolabah (sp)? A mate of mine does the bluelight discos up and down the gold coast... nambor(sp) moroochydore, noosa etc.....? I know aus is a big place!
DJ_Ajay
Na, I'm in Tasmanian (The Island On The Bottom Of Australia)....it's cold!

I thought that was funny about working for the next 43 years!!! biggrin.gif

It is true that the average mobile DJ, wouldn't look at theses light, I was looking at them for a club.

With the DL1 not working, you need to get a 3d verson or cut a hole in the picture and put a light behind it tongue.gif

It never hurts to aim for something, I am only working with 12 TAS Mini-Ultra Scanners, I'm hoping to move up to VR8's..... the TAS weight 13kgs each huh.gif
very heavy!!!

High End systems are quite good, but only really for fixed installs. Their Technobeam and Trackspot scanners are quite good, but a little pricy
