Expensive!
Im building up a computer rack system as I use PCDJ. What do u guys use as a monitor? 14"CRT, or TFT. I been trying to get hold of a small 5"TFT like the ones you get for putting in your car. I been making a custom mixing desk, that uses the key shortcuts in PCDJ instead of spending £100s on a proper USB controller. Looks good, but doesnt perform as well as the retail ones.
thanks

5" TFT are easy to get hold of, CP should be able to help you.

I take with me a micro Compaq Deskpro machine!!!
Use a 15" CRT monitor, and use the keyboard etc!!
That rack looks good but it looks like its specitalist Sun Microsystems stuff
I would rather have a Shuttle PC!!! and a nice 15" TFT and a micro keyboard or a controller

How do I go about writing macros?
PCDJ wont let you change the keyboad shortcuts, which is a bit silly
I have a 104 key keyboard comeing in the post and Im looking into getting a trackball mouse. I just think that my set up doesnt look professional enough. I really wanna make it looks the dogs balls. Any suggestions to make it look better? give the customer a more value feel. I thought maybe spray paint everything black, and but a high gloss on it?
thanks

Dont really get this,99% of customers are interested in that you look presentable and that you sound good, not whether your gear looks expensive or not.

We've got a 2u Rackmount PC that fits into the bottom of the Amp rack and some 5m extender cables that extend the Keyboard, Video, mouse and USB to the front unit, and then a 15"LCD monitor and a normal mouse and a mini keyboard and the USB goes to the PCDJ DAC2.
You can buy programmable keyboards that you can programme buttons to perform different keypresses or multiples of. Have a look for "Cherry Keyboards"

What size mother board do you have? ATX,MATX,ITX? I guessing you dont have any full sized pci or graphics cards?i want to do a 2U case becausw then it doesnt look like ive just brought a comeputer. but the height is the only issue. I was thinking about getting an all in 1 MATX mother board. Do you use an external soundcard?

Yeah I totally agree, but theres a difference in you gear looking expensive, and your gear looking like it was made to do one sould perpouse. I want to make the customer feel like they are getting a professional show. Turning up with a beige case and monitor, just makes me feel like they would say that they could of done it. And as spray paint only cost £5 and a little time. Dont you think its £5 well spent?
