I like stone cold sober better but not a fan of the band. I dont like 'theatrical peformers' who do shows as opposed to concerts. I saw her on Jules Holland and wasnt impressed with her childish behaviour.

Very good point.

I read a review, recently, of Leona Lewis' first live concert which took place at the Hackney Empire. Apparently all kinds of special effects were used plus dancers etc.

I took my daughter to see the Spice Girls when they were prominent and the accent was on presentation, which could be construed as a substitute for content. To be fair, the audience was predominantly little girls.

I've seen excerpts from a Girls Aloud performance where, again, the accent is on an overall "show"

In the past few years, when I saw Bonnie Raitt (or George Benson or Al Green or John Mayall or BB King) there was no spectacle, no special effects, no "presentation" just the performers who could all play and sing to a high standard.
