Wondered whether anyone works for Xmas day/night.
If so, what sort of fees do you command?

Not sure what I'm doing - nothing booked at the moment.
Not discussed with Carmen, but I'd personally work -if I didn't have any family stuff on. I don't see my children until Boxing day (or later) this year, so if something came up - I'd consider it.
Price wise.. I'd be looking at Chrismas eve rates, but will not want to travel too far - or too long.

I do one of my bar residencies on Xmas Eve which goes onto the early hours of Xmas day (2am), they tend to pay me 50% more than usual fee but I don't ask for anything extortionate as they pay me regularly 52 weeks a year.
I have seen Xmas Day bar gigs for around the £180 mark, there tends to be one or two bars and clubs open. I personally wouldn't work on Xmas Day. I do 7 nights a week all year round so Xmas Day would seem a bit silly, it would have to be £500+ to tempt me!

I dont think I have ever worked as a mobile DJ on christmas day... I have worked in Radio on Christmas day... I just see it as another day I am self employed and so a days work is a days work.... Any way Christmas is just a reason to over indulge nowadays.... Barrrr Humbug
