Been thinking about a lazer for a few months now. Looked at the twin EU red in a local shop £240 they were looking for it but I can buy it on line a for a lot less than that. I think I'd like a green lazer I think it looks better the EU cosmic 210 looks good anyone got one of these & what do you think of it?
DJJ
EU Lights double red laser @ £240... way overpriced! Mind you, the overheads for a shop probably force them to sell with such a high margin.

No names mentioned, but these units can be had for approximately £180 (if not a little less, but that seems to be the average price I've found).

If you're gonna do it go for the green ............. much brighter than the red, does'nt even have to be used with smoke (although better with) a little bit more expensive, shop price varies from £450 to £600 but I know Chris can do better if he has any left!

(I run two you won't regret it)

I have both the Double Red and the Green, I can tell you the green one is far better and easier seen , the red will need almost a dark room and smoke , the green will work in a brighter venue , and needs less smoke,

I got mine from Chris, who wont blow his own trumpet but I will oooeeeerrrrr toot.gif laugh.gif

Stock of lasers is seat of yer pants at the moment - suppliers are stocking up after a busy xmas period so those who still have stock are upping the price to cash in, but if you can wait for a while you'll save a lot of money. I sold a batch of the dual 10mw on Ebay for £150 each last year rolleyes.gif .

The Green 30mW Apollo Laser will cost you around £389 from me, Price of the 20mw EU 210 varies depending on the exchange rate but is usually around £350 - £390 occasionally they offer a promotion on the 210 which will include a free controller!.

Again, if you wait then you are likely to get the best deals. Rush in and buy now and you'll pay over the odds - as the £249 price tag on the Dual Red shows smile.gif

Just out of interest what health and Safety restictions apply for using lazers in public?? i know there is one for white light and 7 flases a second... but im not up to date with any laser rules.... are there any??

Chrispy
Only one - Lasers must be used at head height. Permanent Damage to the eyes can occur if lasers are used to scan at eye level

oh right. so dont stare intot he bright light basically lol

Thanks for the info. Can get hold of the twin red for £155 all in. But as I've said I think the green would be a better buy. There's no panic for the lazer so I can wait for a good deal. One of the things that I would like the lazer for is. You know come christmas people now put up lights round the out side of there houses. Well I been thinking of going one better with a lazer show projected on the front of the house I want the lazer mainly for disco use but this was just an idea that I came up with the other week. And why not go one better than your neighbour. What do you think.
Oh & BTW chris what do you charge for delivery to N. Ireland.

If you are wanting a lazer to project decent images onto a wall you will need a higher spec (expensive) lazer than the 2 mentioned sad.gif

I also think there are more laws regarding out side projection.

Yes, I'm always looking for ways to compete with the neighbours lights at Xmas too biggrin.gif . If your using the laser on private ground pointing AWAY from the general public and there is no danger of it hitting somebody in the eye then you should be okay - however look out for the Milkman . Postman etc who may not be so lucky! tongue.gif .

Lasers which project images are more expensive - starting at around £700 - £800. The 210 and similar project patterns which change and do various things, but not text or graphics.

I'm looking into some lasers deals which should be announced later in the month, if you want to p.m me your email address i'll put you on the list for notification of when they will be available.

LOL, not what I charge, more of what the carrier charges smile.gif . N. Ireland is usually charged at standard UK rates + £10 fuel surcharge so £10 UK delivery becomes £20 to a N.I address. The post office charge standard UK rates to N.I so for something like a laser or item weighing under 10kg its often cheaper to send it via Royal Mail Special Delivery @ £18.00.
