I'm searching for sites or places I can get promo copies of mainly r'n'b, hip-hop genre of music?.any help would be greatly appreciated. and give me advice on how to do this or go about this... I don't want to get ripped off... I would prefer the promo copies to be on CD's. I use Denon System 2500 CD Players.

Dean Im a bit confused with your posts!
Anyway, the humble mobile dj will find it very difficult to get free promo's these days... I suggest that you subscribe to cd pool - street beats - £15 which will give you stuff pre release

Mastermix CD's are also quite good too.
I get the 'Pro-Disc' series (£15 a month). They have the latest releases and if you subscribe to them, you get them quite a bit before they come out in the shops I think.
Mastermix also do other stuff like box sets and karaoke cd's

one thing to consider before actively seeking out pre release stuff, is that more often than not, if you play something that punters dont know, they wont go for it... it all stems down to the fact that if they havent heard the tune they wont dance to it... no matter who it is! Once they have heard it on the radio or whatever, they will dance to it! Fickle old world aint it.. most people seem to have to KNOW the music before they can determine whether or not they like the beat or whatever!

Yeh...the only promo service I subscribe to, exactly for the above reason, is the pop beats radio xtra but then they not really that upfront, just unreleased to the general public but generally getting over played on tin pot local radio so your audience will know them!
Obviously depends on your audience, you would more than likely get away with most upfront stuff in city centre pubs, but im looking at it from a wedding / function / corporate angle!
