Hmm that must have been mine.
I don't DJ full time and I am lucky enough to have a well paid full time job, therefore Friday work is a bonus to me although I enjoy doing the friday work.

When I was a resident DJ at a local hotel I found that Fridays were just as busy as Saturdays and for me Fridays were too busy.

Now back on the road they are fairly quiet, and hence discounts are offered for work within 10 miles of my base, usually between 10-20% of the saturday fee and this ties into what discounts are offered by local hotels for friday functions.

Friday work for me is slow.
I do try and get agency work as much as I can, or if any friends of friends etc have doos, I offer them a discount for a Friday nigth booking.

Friday nights in the bar and club trade has taken a massive hit - often other weeknights are busier than Fridays are.

Luckily I have a Friday bar residency but how long it will last is another matter! The only Friday nights doing well are specialist student nights.

Seems that the pubs in my area which offer Friday / Saturday disco / karaoke are still running, but look 'quiet'. Saying that, the karaoke disco opposite the town hall (Buxton) was so loud, it could be heard streets away. It was awful, and then some...and then the singing started.... eek.gif
